Guaino was mocked by his colleagues on the other side of the aisle, and subsequently changed his vote. However, it didn’t matter; the bill passed by over 100 votes and now heads François Hollande, the country’s Socialist president, who campaigned on the issue of gay marriage and will sign the bill. source

We flagged this when it happened without knowing the exact ‘why.’ (There were a lot of Freud jokes on twitter.) Now that we do — well, it’s still pretty funny.

My first thought is that I had no idea so many defensive fortifications were built during WW2 in Scotland, but then, no, perhaps I do vaguely recall hearing of this. Phenomenal photographs.
